Arrival and Departure

Check-in is between 3.30pm and 10.00pm.

Rooms are available from 3.30pm on day of arrival.  If an earlier check-in time is required, please let us know as sometimes this can be arranged.

An estimated time of arrival will be requested at time of booking - if you anticipate your arrival time to be much later than the time given at time of booking, please call us with a revised time of arrival. Rooms will be held for two hours from the estimated time of arrival, if we do not hear from you in that time, we reserve the right to re-let the room and, as per our cancellation policy you will be charged a 'no show' fee of at least one nights stay.

Latest Check-out is 10.00am on day of departure. Although we do not operate a late check-out service, we can, usually, store luggage for collection later in the day, if required.

Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.

Availability

If you are interested in booking with us at the Athollbank, then please complete our enquiries form, e-mail us or telephone with your requirements.

When we receive you enquiry we will endeavour to reply as soon as possible. If we are able to accommodate your requirements, you will be sent an e-mail advising of our current availability at that time. If we are unable to accommodate you, you will be notified as soon as possible. If you wish to book the accommodation available, you will be asked to provide some basic information.  Once we have this information, we will be able to confirm your booking.

Please bear in mind that our e-mail showing availability, shows availability at the time the enquiry was made.  If, once you have received an availability e-mail, and you wish to book but you delay in responding, then the availability cannot be guaranteed.  We are a small Guest House and have a total of six letting rooms.  At certain times of the year, i.e. when Graduation ceremonies are taking place, when there is a major Golf tournament in the area and during September/October our rooms can be filled very quickly.   

Bookings

When you make a booking with Us and we confirm your booking, You enter into a contract between You and Us.

To make a booking you must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18 years to make a booking 

All Children, not matter what age, must be included at time of booking. 

A booking will be confirmed by us when we have received all the necessary information for us to proceed with your booking.   By providing all the necessary details to make a booking you are also confirming that you have read our terms and conditions and agree to our conditions of let including our cancellation policy and payment terms. Bookings are confirmed by e-mail.

Prices

Prices published on this website are at the current rate. We cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies in prices included in third party websites.

All prices quoted are per room per night. Rates quoted are only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown. Should you change the number of guests or room nights, then the rates are subject to change.

Cancellations

We operate a 48 hour cancellation policy for bookings of 14 nights or less.

For bookings of 14 nights or over, we operate a 7 day cancellation policy.

Once we have confirmed your booking with us, you have entered into a contract with us. If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us 48 hours prior to the earliest time of arrival on the day you booking should commence (i.e. 48 hours prior to 3.30pm on expected day of arrival).  There will be no charge for cancellations made over 48 hours prior to day of arrival. 

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice or in the instance of a no-show, a charge of at least one nights accommodation will be made.

Any guests who have a confirmed booking for more than 1 day and who, for whatever reason, are required to leave early, will be charged for the nights they have stayed plus one additional night unless a full 48 hours notice has been given of the cancellation.   For example:- if you book for a 2 night stay but upon arrival have to cancel the second nights stay, we reserve the right to charge for the full 2 nights stay as 48 hours notice of the cancellation/change has not been given.

Room occupancy

Rooms are let for a specific number of persons for a specific price, i.e. a single room is for 1 person and the price quoted will be for 1 person.  Changes in occupancy must be made in advance.  Single rooms cannot be occupied by more than 1 person.  If rooms 1, 5 or 6 are booked for 1 person, but a second person is found to have stayed in the room without prior notification, then the person who made the booking will be liable for the full charge for the number of occupants in the room.  Details of all children, not matter what age, must be provided at time of booking.

Non Smoking Policy

In the interests of the comfort and safety of all of our guests, we operate a strict 'Non-Smoking' policy throughout the Guest House.  In the event of non-compliance a charge of £50.00 will be levied for professional cleaning of the room. 

If a guest is found to be smoking within the Guest House, they will be asked to settle any outstanding bill and leave the premises.  Smoking out of windows within the Guest House is strictly prohibited and will be treated as smoking within the Guest House and therefore a breach of our non smoking policy.

Damages

In the event of Damage to Guest House Property, we reserve the right to charge to replace, repair or professionally clean the item concerned. There will be a charge of £15.00 for lost keys.

Payment

We accept Cash, Debit & credit cards for payment.  Preferred methods are Cash or Debit cards. Company accounts can also be arranged with prior notice.

Receipts

Guest who make payment by Credit or Debit card, will be issued with a card receipt issued on our behalf by our merchant service provider. Guests who pay by cash will also be issued with a numbered receipt. All receipts are issued at time of payment. In the event of a charge due to a late cancellation or 'no show' then a receipt will only be issued once the payment has reached our bank account (usually 5-7 working days). If a guest requires an invoice/itemized receipt, this must be requested at time of payment. We can only provide itemized receipts/invoices if requested either at time of payment or within four weeks of day of departure.

For 'customer not present' transactions we are able to scan and send the receipt by e-mail direct to the Company/card-holder, however, this must be requested at time of booking, otherwise the customer receipt will be handed to the guest, who will then be responsible for ensuring it is passed to the Company/card holder.

Items Left/Lost property

Any items found in a Guest room after departure will be held for a period of 28 days. Within the 28 day period the Guest should arrange for collection of the left items. After 28 days the items will either be disposed of or given to Charity.
